Marilyn Roding is a 36 year old mom of toddler Noa, and wife to 38 year old Michiel Roding. She has a passion for art, online and diving. She has given up her career as a senior internet manager to travel around the world for a year with her family. The first half year they will travel around Asia and the second half year in South America.
After traveling through Laos for five weeks from the south to the north we traveled through Myanmar for a month from the North of Myanmar to the south. Via Thailand we traveled to the Philippines. In six weeks we traveled from Manila to the island north of Palawan, Coron and on to El Nido to travel south to the capital of Palawan, Puerto Princesca. To continue on to Moalboal on the island of Cebu. We continued on to the Indonesian island Sulawesi. From the capital Makassar we are traveling to the Togian islands. Once again we traveled via Kuala Lumpur to Bali and continued on to our destination Flores. We first did a liveaboard (lived onboard a boat and went diving among things) before picking up my two sisters from the airport and traveling from the west to the east.
After visiting Holland for a week we traveled to Lima, Peru, and south towards the Bolivian boarder. We traveled via the capital of Bolivia, La Paz, in a circle around Bolivia. To enter Peru again to visit Machu Picchu and travel further north to the boarder with Ecuador. After visiting Guayaquil, at the coast of Ecuador, we flew to the Galapagos island where we visited different islands. After that we traveled via a small village called Salinas in the mountains, to the north-east of Ecuador, to the Amazone. Now we are in Mindo, our last destination before traveling back to the Netherlands.
